students' age group: 13 - 16
academic subject: Geography

description of resource and comments:

I used the animations in my lessons and used my own text content.I particularly like the visually rich annimations but the content needed to be adapted. Learners could use this site for revision purposes. Annimations are very useful to explain broad concepts in geomorphology.

Plate Tectonics

I particularly liked this set of animations for their simplicity of design - the language of course was above the average high school students understanding. As to travel well, it certainly applies to anywhere in the world with regards to understanding of the processes. Copyrighting will clearly limit the level of adaptability that a teacher may want to do with regards to using simplified language or specific geographic locations.
